Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane Denies Involvement in Cooperative Fraud

KATHMANDU-Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane refuted allegations of involvement in cooperative fraud during the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

Addressing concerns raised by MPs, Minister Rabi Lamichhane categorically denied any association with the misappropriation of cooperative funds. He emphasized that his name had not surfaced in any court case pertaining to the said cooperative.

Furthermore, he clarified that although a complaint had been lodged against him with the police, it had not been formally registered.

Amid ongoing scrutiny and accusations surrounding the alleged mishandling of cooperative finances, Minister Lamichhane seeks to distance himself from any wrongdoing with his statement.
