Bihar: According to police reports, a tragic collision between a tractor and a jeep in Bihar’s Khagaria district resulted in the loss of at least seven lives, including three children, and left six others injured.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 am near a petrol pump in the Pasraha area, as stated by a senior officer. The vehicles collided head-on, leading to fatal consequences for those traveling in the jeep, who were reportedly returning from a wedding ceremony. The officer noted that the tractor involved was overloaded at the time of the collision.
The injured individuals were promptly taken to a nearby health facility for treatment, as confirmed by the police officer. Khagaria’s Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kushwaha, mentioned that senior police and administrative officials have arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation. Additionally, the bodies of the deceased are being prepared for post-mortem examinations.
