KATHMANDU- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has stated that there is still much work to be done in the field of women’s empowerment. Addressing the seventh International Trade Fair organized by the Federation of Nepalese Women Entrepreneurs in Hetauda on Friday, Prime Minister Prachanda said that although the condition of women has improved compared to the past, it is not entirely satisfactory.
Compared with the past, the condition of Nepalese women has gradually improved. However, Prime Minister Prachanda mentioned that there is still room for improvement and satisfaction in this progress. “Therefore, much more work remains to be done for women’s empowerment. What the government and the nation alone cannot accomplish, requires the collective effort of everyone,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of the role of women entrepreneurs in empowering women, it has been stated that empowerment is essential to be linked with power in today’s context. Their statement reflects the fact that empowerment cannot be achieved solely through economic independence in today’s context.
