Myagdi: A tragic jeep accident claims two individuals’ lives occurred in Nepane, located within Annapurna Rural Municipality-5, in the Myagdi district.

The incident unfolded on Sunday night as the jeep with registration number Ga 1 Ja 7653, en route from Paudwar to Pokharebagar, veered off the road, plunging approximately 200 meters down.

The bodies of Ganesh Shrestha, aged 37, the owner and driver of the jeep, and Lal Bahadur Tilija, aged 27, both hailing from Paudwar, were discovered at the site of the accident, as confirmed by Purna Paija, a ward member of Annapurna Rural Municipality-5.

Following reports that the jeep failed to reach its intended destination on Sunday night, a search operation was initiated, leading to the discovery of the jeep stranded on a cliff around 8:00 am the next day.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Madan Kunwar informed that police teams from Ghara and Bhurung Tatopani have arrived at the scene to retrieve the bodies and commence an investigation into the incident.
