“PM Prachanda Set to Seek Vote of Confidence on March 13; CPN (Maoist Centre) Gears Up for Crucial Parliamentary Test”

During a recent party parliamentary meeting at Singha Durbar, Hitraj Pandey, Chief Whip of CPN (Maoist Centre), announced preparations for Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to seek a vote of confidence in Parliament at 11 am on March 13.

Emphasizing the mandatory attendance of CPN (Maoist Centre) MPs, Pandey issued a whip to ensure their participation in the House of Representatives meeting on the day of the confidence vote. He underscored the significance of party members’ presence for both the confidence vote and the upcoming National Assembly elections.

In contrast, the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, has taken a different stance, instructing its MPs to vote against the proposed confidence motion by Prime Minister Prachanda. Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak has issued directives for MPs to attend the House of Representatives meeting and cast their votes against the proposal.
