U-21 National Kho Kho Tournament takes place from April 6 in Dhangadi

DHANGADI- The inaugural U-21 national men’s and women’s kho kho tournament is scheduled to take place in Dhangadi, commencing on April 6.

Set to unfold from April 6 to 9 at the Tribhuvan Secondary School playground in Boradandi, Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-3 of Kailali, the kho kho competition is under the direction of Pradip Maharjan, President of Nepal Kho Kho Association.

This significant event is a collaboration between the Nepal Kho Kho Association and Sudurpaschim Province Kho Kho Association.

A total of 144 kho kho players, representing both men’s and women’s teams from Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, will vie for victory in the tournament.

The tournament structure involves a league cum knockout format. The top three teams in both the men’s and women’s categories will be awarded cash prizes, with the winners receiving Rs 50,000, the runners-up Rs 30,000, and the third-placed teams Rs 20,000, respectively.
