People from various places in the country, including two individuals from Gosalai in Birtamode Municipality-3, Jhapa, have been arrested with illegal drugs, including substances resembling brown sugar. Approximately 720 milligrams of such substances were found on Monday when the police arrested 20-year-old Mausam Kisku and another individual, both residents of Ward 3, Bhadrapur Municipality, aged 20. The arrest was made by the police stationed at Birtabazaar Police Station.
The police, stationed at the Birtabazaar Police Station, arrested them along with the substances mentioned above. Similarly, three individuals, including 21-year-old Manish Limbu from Buttabari Ward 6 of Birtamode Municipality, were arrested on Monday with illegal drugs resembling brown sugar, weighing 12 grams and 950 milligrams. The temporary police station in Buttabari conducted a search under the house of Manish Limbu, spreading the substance and arresting them in the process.
A 40-year-old Manoj Khanal, residing near the check post in Bhansar, Ward 16 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, was arrested by the police on Monday night with illegal drugs resembling brown sugar, weighing 15 grams. The police, including the Drug Control Bureau, also arrested him as he was walking from India to Nepal. The police have informed us that further investigation is underway in this regard.
