IPL 2024- The captain of the Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant, has been fined 1.2 million rupees (1.924 million rupees) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In the match against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday night, he was fined for slow over rate (when bowling takes longer than the specified time).
In the ongoing IPL, the reason for the slow over-rate penalty was due to Shubhaman Gill of the Gujarat Titans, who was fined previously. Pant became the second captain.
Last Tuesday, Gill was fined against Chennai as well. With Pant’s half-century support, Delhi defeated Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs, securing their first win. Winning the toss in Visakhapatnam, Delhi scored 191 runs, losing 5 wickets in 20 overs.
Captain Rishabh Pant scored 51 runs with 4 fours and 3 sixes in 32 balls. Pant returned to cricket from the IPL after a car accident in 2022.
Pant’s form is a positive sign for Indian cricket.
