Jhapa, Nepal- Janasewa Municipal Hospital Inaugurated in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-12, Jalpa: Enhancing Healthcare Access with Specialist Services”

The newly established Janasewa Municipal Hospital in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-12, Jalpa, has commenced operations, offering specialist medical services. According to Dan Bahadur Rai, Chairperson of Ward-12, the transformation from a 15-bed Janasewa Community Hospital to a municipal facility is now complete.

Originally founded by local initiatives and community support over a decade ago, the hospital’s physical infrastructure and equipment, situated on 4.1 ropani of land, have been officially handed over to the municipality, as confirmed by Dhruba Shrestha, Chairperson of the Hospital Management Committee.

This development aims to integrate healthcare services from various health posts across Jalpa into the municipal hospital’s framework, facilitating streamlined healthcare delivery. Operations commenced last Wednesday following the handover, with equipment and structures valued at Rs 35 million.

Additionally, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been formalized between the municipality and Janasewa Community Hospital Jalpa, outlining the establishment and operational framework of the municipal hospital.
