A clash erupted at Amrit Science Campus (Askal) in Lainchour between two student organizations: Akhil Krantikari, affiliated with CPN-UML, and Akhil Krantikari, associated with the Maoist Center.
During the altercation on Sunday evening, two students affiliated with the revolutionary factions sustained injuries. Jitendra Bhandari, the unit committee president, and vice president Vishram Sharma of All Revolutionary Askal Campus were among the injured. According to Navraj Adhikari, the spokesperson for the District Police Complex Kathmandu, their injuries were minor.
Bhandari suffered injuries to his mouth and nose, while Sharma injured his left thumb.
The Police Circle Sohrakhutte has detained two individuals on charges of assault. Pankaj Pandey, president of the ANERASWAVIU Askal Campus Unit Committee, and Ganesh Shahi, a committee member, were apprehended. Shahi, originally from Jumla, and Pandey, from Kanchanpur, were both residing in the campus hostel.
According to police reports, the altercation arose during a volleyball match on Sunday evening.
One individual accused of assault is currently evading authorities. Khem Singh is among the absconding suspects.
