House of Representatives Meeting Adjourned Until Sunday

The parliamentary session, which was abruptly disrupted on Friday, has been adjourned until Sunday due to opposition from the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC).

NC lawmakers protested during the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting and demanded the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane over alleged involvement in cooperatives-related frauds.

In response to the ongoing protest, Speaker Devraj Ghimire postponed the meeting.

Although the meeting resumed after a 10-minute adjournment, NC lawmakers persisted in their protest against Lamichhane.

As a result, Speaker Ghimire announced the adjournment of the meeting until 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 17th.
