A tragic incident occurred along the Jalbire Road within the Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality on Sunday, resulting in the loss of life for one Indian citizen and injuries to four others.
The incident took place at approximately 3 am when the night bus they were traveling in collided with a stationary truck along the Chitwan-Narayanghat Mugling Road.
The deceased, a 35-year-old man from Motihari, East Champaran district, India, was en route from Gaur, Rautahat, to Pokhara at the time of the accident. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the collision, as confirmed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Shreeram Bhandari of the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The injured individuals, all Nepali nationals, are reported to be in stable condition. Investigations into the cause of the accident are currently underway, as stated by DSP Bhandari.
