Last night, a devastating traffic accident resulted in the tragic loss of two lives at Khanar Chowk in Itahari sub-metropolis-12.
The individuals who lost their lives have been identified as Bipin Dahal, aged 23, and Abhi Dahal, an eight-year-old from Belbari-8, Morang. Deputy Superintendent of Police in Sunsari, Naveenkrishna Bhandari, officially confirmed the unfortunate fatalities.
The fatal incident unfolded when a motorcycle (registration number Pra. 1-02-041 P 6619) traveling from Biratnagar to Itahari collided with a truck (registration number Pra. 1-02-001 Ka. 4578) heading in the opposite direction.
Both riders on the motorcycle suffered severe injuries in the collision and tragically succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital, as stated by DSP Bhandari.
In connection to the incident, the truck driver, Pradeep Koirala, aged 30, residing in Itahari-2, has been apprehended by the police for further investigation and necessary legal action.
