KATHMANDU- Nepal ‘A’ is preparing for their third face-off against Ireland ‘A’ in today’s T20 series match. However, Ireland firmly holds the series lead, having secured wins in the preceding games.
The match is set to commence at 1 pm at the TU Ground in Kirtipur.
Despite Lokesh Bam’s remarkable century, Nepal suffered a 21-run defeat in the series opener on Friday, followed by a 40-run loss in the second match at the Kirtipur ground on Saturday.
In the first match, Nepal fell short, managing only 201 runs in 19.3 overs in pursuit of Ireland ‘A’s formidable target of 223 runs. Similarly, in the second match, chasing a target of 225 runs, Nepal succumbed to 184 runs in 17.5 overs, losing all wickets.
Looking ahead, Nepal is also anticipating a one-day series against Ireland, which will commence following the conclusion of the T20 series. The one-day series is scheduled to kick off on April 3, with subsequent matches set for April 5 and April 7 at the TU Cricket ground.
Previously, Ireland ‘A’ had engaged in a two-match T20I series with the national team, where Nepal emerged victorious, clinching wins in both encounters.
