Nepal has set a target of 157 runs for Baroda in the ongoing SMS Friendship T-20 Cup in India.
After losing the toss and batting first, Nepal lost 6 wickets in 20 overs, scoring 156 runs. Kushal Malla of Nepal scored the highest with 40 runs, including 3 fours and 2 sixes in 25 balls, while Dipendra Singh Airee was out for 5 runs.
Sandeep Jora contributed 29 runs, including 2 fours and a six in 16 balls before being run out. At one point, Nepal was in a precarious position of 82-5 in 12.5 overs, but Sandeep and Kushal’s partnership of 47 runs in 29 balls gave them hope.
Opener Asif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel were out for 9 and 9 runs respectively. Anil Kumar Shah made 25 runs, including 2 fours and a six in 27 balls before being caught out.
Captain Rohit Poudel scored 18 runs with 3 fours in 13 balls, while Gulshan Jha was out for 13 runs. India’s Baba Khan took 2 wickets, while Mohit Mongia and Parikshit Patidar took 1 wicket each. In their first match, Nepal defeated Gujarat by 8 wickets, while Gujarat beat Baroda by 5 wickets.
