A shooting incident occurred in Rautahat targeting a money transfer operator, Nitesh Sah, aged 26, who owns Shiva Money Transfer.
According to DSP Agila Giri, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Rautahat, the perpetrators involved in the shooting have been apprehended. “We have detained three individuals from the group responsible for the attack on the money transfer operator. Further inquiries are ongoing,” stated DSP Giri. Additionally, weapons were seized from the arrested individuals, and the wounded were transferred to Birgunj for medical care. DSP Giri revealed that the assailants’ motive appears to be robbery, as they fired with the intention of looting.
Further details regarding the incident are pending, as a thorough investigation by the District Police Office Rautahat is currently underway. During a parliamentary session, Rautahat MP Kiran Kumar Sah brought the shootout to the attention of the Speaker.
