IPL 2024: On Wednesday, Gujarat Titans’ captain, Shubman Gill, was fined Rs. 12 lahks for a slow over rate during their IPL 2024 match against Chennai Super Kings.
The IPL stated that this was the team’s first offense of the season under the Code of Conduct regarding minimum over rate offenses. The Gill-led side faced its initial defeat in this tournament edition, losing to defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 63 runs on Tuesday.
In his debut as captain of an IPL franchise, Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans had secured victory in their opening match against Mumbai Indians by six runs.
