An elderly woman from Ward No. 3 of Vigur Rural Municipality in Bulung, has died in a bus accident. The accident resulted in the death of 74-year-old Lama. According to the Dolakha Police, she died at the scene after the bus, registered as Rollwalung Yatayat with the number Ba 3 Kha 6374, collided while heading towards Bulung from Kathmandu.
The District Police Office in Dolakha informed that the bus hit Lama on her way back home from Fiste Dunga in Vigur Rural Municipality-4. This information was provided by Dolakha Police spokesperson and police inspector, Jeevan Shrestha.
According to the police, the driver, 26-year-old Narayan Budhathoki from Kalinchok Rural Municipality-4, Sigati, has been detained. He is currently held at the Sigati Area Police Office for further investigation. While the bus driver claims that the accident did not result in the death of the woman, the deceased’s relatives assert that she died from injuries sustained in the collision with the bus. Additional investigation is underway regarding the arrest. According to the police, the body remains at the scene of the incident.
