JAPAN– Gobinda Sapkota, A Nepali student studying in Japan, originally from Makwanpur Gadhi in Makwanpur, has gone missing in Japan for a week.
Having completed studies at the ‘ISI Language School’ in Kyoto, Sapkota transferred to the ‘Nagano Business Language College (NBL)’ in Nagano on March 29. However, from March 30 onwards, Sapkota has not been in contact with his school, college, family, or friends, as informed by Sapkota’s uncle, Krishna Prasad Ghimire.
Ghimire also mentioned that Sapkota’s mobile phone has been switched off, and he has been inactive on social media since disappearing. Despite efforts to search from Nepal, Ghimire expressed growing concern as no information about Sapkota has been found so far.
Sapkota’s family members have appealed to the Nepali Embassy in Japan, non-residential Nepali associations, and the Nepali community in Japan to search and take necessary actions. Sapkota had arrived in Japan for studies in 2022.
