On the second trading day of the week, Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 9.19 points, reaching 2036.01. Trading activity saw a slight dip compared to Sunday, with a total of 9,789,416 shares valued at 4.14 billion rupees exchanged.
The previous day’s trading volume amounted to 4.25 billion rupees. Except for the hotel, tourism, and microfinance sub-indices, all sectors observed an uptick in the NEPSE index. Notably, the finance sub-index experienced the most significant increase, rising by 2.79 percent.
Investors reaped benefits from the upward movement in share prices of 150 companies, although 86 companies witnessed a decline. Meanwhile, the share prices of 9 companies remained unchanged.
