PALPA- tragic event unfolded in Palpa, where a young girl was found lifeless with her throat slit.

The lifeless body of the girl was discovered in Khayaha, Ribdikot rural municipality-1 of Palpa district, as confirmed by local law enforcement.

According to reports from locals, the victim, identified as 19-year-old Padma Khayaha, had gone to bathe in a nearby spout near her home on Tuesday afternoon.

She was later found deceased, showing signs of injuries from sharp objects on her body.

Chiranjivi Pokharel, Ward President of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-1 Khyha, confirmed the victim’s identity, stating that Padma was the daughter of Dal Bahadur and Kamala Sunar of Karangdi.

She was a student in Grade 12 at Sarada Secondary School.

Pokharel recounted that Padma left her residence around 4:00 pm for a bath but did not return by late evening.

“The injuries, including cuts on her neck and fingers, indicate a struggle before her death,” remarked Pokharel.

Superintendent of Police Narendra Chand, the District Police Chief, revealed that due to the evening timing of the incident, authorities secured the area and launched investigations the following morning.

He further stated that a canine unit from Bhairahawa has been enlisted to assist in the investigation.
