International Cricket Council (ICC) President Greg Barclay has a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
The Secretariat of the Prime Minister said that in the meeting held at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Prime Minister on Tuesday afternoon, they discussed various issues of cricket development in Nepal.
On the occasion of the meeting, Prime Minister Prachanda said that the ICC president’s visit to Nepal has given priority and importance to Nepali cricket.
“The government of Nepal has given great priority to cricket infrastructure by deciding to build a cricket stadium as a plan of national pride” Quoting the Prime Minister’s statement in the meeting with Barkley, his secretariat said, “The government of Nepal has given great importance to the ‘U-19 Women’s World Cup’ in 2027.” is We expect significant support from the ICC as well.’
President Barclay said that ICC will support the development of Nepal’s cricket sector.
Chief Secretary Dr. Baikunth Aryal and officials of the Nepal Cricket Association also participated in the meeting.
