NEPSE witnessed a notable decline on Sunday, with a 10.62-point drop compared to Thursday, settling at 2,070.25 points, amidst fluctuations in various sectors.

During the week’s kickoff, NEPSE saw a substantial downturn on Sunday, marking a double-digit decline. Compared to Thursday’s figures, NEPSE witnessed a drop of 10.62 points, settling 2,070.25 points.

The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs 3.38 billion, with 84 companies experiencing price hikes, 150 witnessing declines, and 10 maintaining stability.

Noteworthy shifts included Development Banks registering the highest increase at 0.82 percent, while Hotel and Tourism faced the most significant decline, dropping by 1.56 percent.

Among the sub-indices, three indicators saw growth, while all others experienced declines. Development Bank soared by 33 points, Finance rose by 11 points, and the Manufacturing Group increased by 20 points. Conversely, Banking decreased by 7 points, Hotel and Tourism fell by 83 points, Hydropower dipped by 29 points, Life Insurance saw a drop of 20 points, Microfinance declined by 1 point, Non-life Insurance decreased by 24 points, Others went down by 18 points, and Trading experienced a decrease of 12 points.
