A fire erupted on Saturday morning at the Madhya Pradesh state secretariat in Bhopal, specifically on the third floor. In response, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav promptly initiated an investigation into the incident.
Firefighters have successfully brought the blaze under control, and ongoing efforts are underway. The third floor, housing important documents, now emits only smoke, as reported by Rameshwar Neel, the Fire Officer of Bhopal Municipal Corporation, to news agency PTI.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far. The fire, originating on the third floor of the Vallabh Bhawan, the official name for the Secretariat building, rapidly spread, accompanied by substantial clouds of smoke. Sanitation workers observed the smoke around 9:30 am, prompting the alerting of the fire brigade. In response, fifteen to twenty fire tenders were deployed, as stated by Fire Officer Rameshwar Neel.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed, “The fire originated in the old compound of the building. We have received information that the situation is now under control. Measures are being taken to prevent any recurrence of such incidents, and we are committed to ensuring that this unfortunate event does not happen again.”
