Early this morning, a tragic incident unfolded as a woman succumbed to her injuries sustained in a wildfire in Doti district.
Chandradevi Bhandari, aged 41 and a resident of Shikhar Municipality-4, was among those affected by the forest blaze that occurred on Thursday afternoon. Bhandari sustained injuries while en route to Patalisain Community Forest for the construction of an irrigation system, where she was part of a team comprising 25 individuals.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Doti, Narayan Singh Negi, verified the unfortunate demise of Bhandari at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi, Kailali. She had been transferred to the hospital from Doti on the same day of the incident.
