The President of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has summoned a gathering of the party’s office bearers, both current and former. The meeting is scheduled to convene today at 3 pm at President Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.
The primary focus of the meeting is to deliberate on the party’s strategic initiatives to effectively operate as the principal opposition party in the parliament. With the dissolution of its alliance with key coalition member CPN (Maoist Center), which has now formed a new government in collaboration with CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), CPN (US), and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Nepali Congress assumes the crucial role of the main opposition party in the parliamentary proceedings.”
